First Day of Kindergarten!

Emily was just a touch nervous about starting today.  She's in PM Kindergarten to I decided to jam pack the morning with all kinds of errands so she wouldn't have time to think about it.  It worked.  We were so busy we were almost late.

One of the errands was Target (of course) where we saw this fun friend we recognized from Kindergarten orientation.  As soon as she saw Emily by the door this afternoon she came up to her and gave her a big hug.  Whew!  No worries about finding a friend!  I couldn't resist taking a picture of their giant backpacks.

Here's Emily with the best teacher in the whole school!

Families were invited into the Kindergarten room so everyone could see what was going on.  I was worried that Molly and Heidi wouldn't want to leave.  They didn't.

As soon as Emily saw the coloring station I knew we could leave.  I hope she brings this picture home today.  Check out those eyelashes!

Congratulations on starting Kindergarten!

Yea! I love the pictures of each step. The backpack picture is great. I might have to get one of those. I think your other girls will probably go to kindergarten pretty easy too since they've already seen the room and don't want to leave. (At least that's what we think will happen when we super prepare kids for things and then when they happen we have clinging kids. I don't get it sometimes.)
