We spent Friday and Saturday in the biggest little city in the world, not to be show-offs or to try to double our yearly income but for . . .
the annual hot air balloon race!
It was amazing and even though we got up at 4:30 (yes, am, and yes, on a vacation) We could stand in the balloon area and watch the balloons fill up and launch.
I was so surprised the organizers let us just walk around. I hate to say this, but this is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I'm just glad we were there before the lawsuits started.
Oh, also, the girls are wearing the pajamas on purpose. The local Reno paper sponsored something they called the world's largest pajama party. Um, not really. To attend you sign up and they give you a bag filled with low-grade swag and advertisements. Oh well. It's always fun to wear jams in public with your mom's permission.

Those pictures of the 3 sleeping gals are adorable and hilarious!!! Well deserved after two fun weekends. Maybe next weekend could be Apple Hill...that's a good nap on the way back, and you don't have to get up at 4:30am!
hahah. looks like fun. reno is always the spot for a good time. isn't that the best when they fall asleep. you and scott can have a peaceful romantic drive home:)
Is it always the same weekend, I would have loved to go, maybe next year!
WOW!That is EARLY!!!! looks like fun though!
Wow! That looked like so much fun! I am so impressed that your girls got up so early, they are AMAZING! I have to ask where there any tears by any of them getting up that early in the morning? I only ask that because that would just be expected with my boys if I got them out of be at 4 in the morning. The photo of the three girls all worn out is priceless.
You could always take a road trip to upstate NY, but the drive would take the whole weekend so...maybe not the best plan...
How fun to see all those hot air balloons.
I love the pictures of the girls sleeping. How did Molly sleep with her head tilted up like that - that looks painful.
the pictures of them sleeping is so funny. Love it.
I don't have a weekend suggestion, a week suggestion would be the great NW.
I do have a tip. Roll a towel and stick it under the front of the carseat to tilt it back. Saves them from taco neck syndrome. Ben goes ape nuts when the kids necks bend like that. I'm just glad they're asleep and threaten him with death if he wakes them up trying to "help" them.
I love your blog and love to read and see what new adventures you'll have next! This is classic.
What a cool thing to see! Reno makes me laugh though, Jimmy and I were too poor to go anywhere on our honeymoon so we spent a whole week in that "biggest little city" thanks to it's cheap rooms :) Nice and classy. I always think the wharf at San Fransisco is a fun adventure. Or apple hill.
