Sssssssssnakes!

Scott and I are not afraid of snakes.

Here we are as a tourist attraction at the Bangkok Snake Farm.  People couldn't believe that we'd actually put a snake on our necks and asked to take our photo.  Wimps!

Emily was not afraid of snakes either - as a baby.

One she hit about two she wouldn't even touch this fake one she used to sleep with!  Snakes were "TOO SCARY!"  I was a bit concerned that she would grow up to be a person who didn't want to touch a snake but would instead take photos of other people touching them.  What kind of photo album does that make?

Today we had a field trip with Molly's preschool to see The Critter Lady.  Oh, she was fun.  She brought a skink, two different lizards, an African hedgehog a tortoise and an orange snake named Pumpkin.  Emily didn't want to touch any of these creatures . . .

I can't believe that those cute little girls put a snake around their necks. I am with Heidi, deathly afraid of snakes, and would have nightmares for weeks if I did that.

I'm with Heidi on this one: I would MUCH rather wear my swimsuit to a school event than put a snake around my neck.

Don't underestimate the power of a strong sense of fashion. That girl is going places. Hopefully someplace with a pool.

How exciting--snakes! Any snake that is named Pumpkin is a nice snake for sure. You girls looked cute--I wonder if the snake was afraid of you?

Remember my college roommate "Monte"? He was lovely. To bad the rest of my roommates didn't agree.

Speaking of snakes. I like snakes too. Good thing because my cats bring them home--into the house often. Yesterday, my cat brought me one. Large, black, VERY long. Unfortunately I didn't notice my present until after I had run him over with the van. I took out his lower half. Oops!!

I couldn't deal with it with two babies. So I ran them upstairs and came back down to "take care of it". No snake, no guts, no cat??? Ummmmmmm . . . where did they go? Who knows? I did find snake guts splattered all over the garage door frame though. They say it tastes like chicken . . .
