How is it the middle of April?

No kidding, on April Fools Day I hurt my back.

Luckily I have SUPER NICE friends who have helped me by taking my kids and bringing me dinners.  I might have to fake another injury soon.

Here is an action shot of me recovering.  It's super fun.  I'm so glad I didn't have to be on bed rest while I was pregnant.  Let's just say it might have been difficult for me.

Now here's what we've been doing for the last month.

Heidi and her favorite friend Charlotte wore their bathing suits.

Emily and Heidi tried rock climbing.

Molly did too.

Post-back injury we saw Monsters vs Aliens.  Seeing the girls like this was worth the extra moolah for the 3D version.  Emily loved it.  Molly liked it.  Heidi liked the popcorn.

Scott's parents hosted a pre-Easter picnic and egg hunt at a cute park.  My parents, who came into town to help me out, helped Heidi out by helping her find the high eggs.

Molly, who is always fashionable, found lots of low eggs.

Emily and Savannah were happy to be together!

We finally got around to dying eggs the night before Easter.  I had kind of forgotten a lot of basic Easter things this year, like buying candy, having food for Sunday dinner, dying eggs, etc.  Luckily I was FINALLY feeling good enough to participate in one of my favorite messy activities of the year.

On Easter, Molly and Heidi showed off their dresses and Emily tried out for America's Next Top Model.

Happy April!  Come visit!

Cute apron! It looks kinda familiar. I wore mine to do our eggs too.
I hope you feel better soon. Backs that hurt are no fun at all!

I'm glad you're feeling better. Back troubles are the worst. We forgot all that Easter stuff (buying candy, etc.) and I don't even have a good excuse. I think I forget sometimes that I'm a parent and these things are now my responsibility...

I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better! Looks like you all had a fun Easter. I love this time of year. I am so impressed the girls tried rock climbing. I am sure that the boys would love giving that a try, thanks for the great idea.

What a bummer about your back! Too bad it wasn't just an april fool's joke... I'm glad to hear you're doing better though. It looks like you guys have been up to some fun despite your mishap though! I liked looking at my dad's pictures from your easter get together, it made me jealous that I wasn't home to celebrate with everybody!

Actually.... I never made it back into my pre pregnancy jeans after lil' Ryan. I lost all the weight, but never wore the same size jeans. Like my sisters warned me years and years ago(before I was even married), that your body is just never the same after you have a baby. Now I know what they meant :) How's your back doing?
We are doing good, trying to juggle the newborn and the toddler with a cold. We are so excited to have Keira in our lives... she is such a sweet heart (wayyyyy different than lil' Ryan for sure!)

How did I miss this post? That picture of Charlotte and Heidi is classic! And has Emily seen Zoolander? Her pose reminded me just a touch of Blue Steel...
