Let's be honest, the scenery in the ville is not always so gorgeous. I have a super talented friend who is displays her quilts on her fence. She can't help that the background is lush and mountainy but I was a little jealous. I decided that I was tired of displaying my handiwork on the living room floor.
So this time when I finished my latest quilt, I brought it on vacation with me so it could have the mountains it deserves. After all, my ancestors moved from the UK to Utah. Shouldn't I move a little UK to UT?
Before I get to the quilt, how cute are these girls?
And now here's the latest summer obsession! I'd like to thank le tour de France for giving me hours of TV watching during July. I'd also like to thank my favorite youngest sister, Kristen, for standing on a chair as I yelled, "3 inches to the left, now up a bit more, etc," while taking these photos.

Laurie, it looks great! You did such a beautiful job! The quilt definitely deserves a mountain backdrop (the living room floor just isn't the same). Now I need you to teach me how to do machine quilting.
I LOVE IT! You have two quilts in one!
And I love the naturey backdrop. My only sadness is that I did not get to meet the quilt in person. Hopefully we can introduce our Union Jack quilts in person.
I will also report that our favorite Dove Girl is doing well, but no longer wearing shoulder pads.
Absolutely beautiful! Great job, Laurie! You should sell them on etsy...you are so talented!
STOP IT!!!!!! I love the colors you used...I love that you made this quilt! I have the pattern sitting somewhere in my mess of a sewing table! Oh gosh I need to make one! Yours is fab!
ps. email me when you get a chance, I could not find an email for you....
